yesterday my 92 magna tr auto
suddenly start making loud noise..
i think it come from the alternator..

do you guys know how much does it cost
to service the alternator..
im in melbourne..

i had the same problem with mine about 2 weeks ago. I found that the alternator is fine, but the belt itself was making all the noise. I just sprayed some WD40 on the alternator pulley and the noise went away instantly.

If it is the alternator, i got a 2nd hand one from 'Magna Brunswick' 191 Albion Street, Ph. 9384 0401, for $50, got 3 months warranty too. Worth a look.

Hang on, you've just had the alt replaced & you think a werid noise is coming from it?
Could the belt be too tight or loose or something?

If I've read it wrong, don't listen to me :D
