Extractors, CAI, hi flow throttle body and aftermarket ECU are always the first things.

CAI done a million times, Cold Air Intake
lets your engine have a nice feed of air from the front of the car, not beneth the bonnet :doubt:
pics are attached, Search CAI, done a million times
it replaces your stock air intake, nothing technical, a very noob mod
*this is from a 2nd gen, but you get the idea
*its GTRICE's one, i hope you dont mind me using it

yeah as most have said, basic intake and exhaust modifications will benfit your car.
But, also don't neglect your suspension. A strut brace (connects your strut towers, under your bonnet), and front and rear sway bars will make your car handle great, and either lows or superlow king springs will reduce body roll and make your car look even better!
have fun modding it !
later
Thats a really hot looking car! You really need to modify the engine more before buying an aftermarket computer though.
I'd be going for strutbrace and lowering. The magna have a fair bit of body flex, I assume thats why they dont have split rear seating.

welcome aboard dude. nice car.
now for all of these questions, use the search function. its all been covered before, but if by any chance it hasnt, then feel free to ask more questions.
and yes, the greddy emanage will do the job, but it wont yeild much gains until you do some other stuff first.

Great looking car. You could try something like this with a K&N panel filter: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16688&highlight=easy+cai
Get some extractors, a high flowed throttle body, maybe an intake manifold. Then if you decide to go no further add a chip: greddy, unichip, haltech inteceptor. If you want to go further then get some cams with adjustable cam gears and even further get your heads ported. If you were to go to cams and the like a full replacement ecu haltech etc may yield extra gains but it would only be if you intended to do serious mods.
Oh and if you like colour code the lights or get verada lights to liven the front up.

so that aftermarket ECU, is it that box thing (the GReddy Emanage) thats hanging over your brake pedal atm...a good mate of yours was telling me u got some unit thats hanging over your break pedal, and he is also concerned about it getting caught to your pedals whilst u drive...i'll give u a hint, he has red hair :)

Just out of curiosity but guys, what is the Chip with a lot of wires hanging out clipped just under the dash aove the accelerator? Is it the ECU, or something else?
And I don't have an aftermarket ecu in my car. The Greddy is sitting on the shelf.

i'll have a look in my car in the morning...glad my car isn't falling apart :bowrofl: maybe just the engine..still yet to find the cause of the rattle between 1500 to about 2500rpm during acceleration and going up a hill when the engine is straining...but it still able to drive hard so i'll drive it the way i like it :)

It's a Manual car, and the bracket is straight up from the accelerator pedal.
I like your car man. If you want a good resource have a look at www.rpw.com.au. Shop around but these guys are great with ideas & advice.
The Magna Pod Air Filter is very good. I have one myself and its probaly the most affordable place to start. It also gives about the best price vs benifits advantage inintially. With the CAI you can buy the mandrel piping, clamps etc privately. You will save a good deal of money too!

The gizmo above the accelerator pedal is either the BEM or the Aircon ECU.
The wiki (http://www.wermspowke.net/wiki/) that I host has some info about mods you can do.
You can hook up an Apexi FC to a magna.. EuroSport or whatever he calls himself now (:D) had one at one stage I think.. they're a pretty limited computer though.

Yeah we ended up just putting it back in place and using some silicon to seal it in. All good now.

It is when you dig up an old thread and reply to it, bringing it back to the top of the list.
