most ive seen are around the 1500-2000 mark, but they do look awesome :D i wouldn't wanna watch them cut a hole in my roof tho! i'm sure a quick search in the yellow pages would have heaps of shops that do it

Ive looked into it before, and its pretty much cheaper to sell your car and buy one with a factory sunroof. also some people i know have had trouble with after market sunroofs leaking around the join.....

Ask WTCHME, he installed a non0factory fitted sunroof. He should know.

I've had two sunrooves (??) in two different cars and they all ended up leaking....
Dun do it!!!
But that's just me...you have been warned
My mates sunroof actually flew off. He had just bought a manual ED XR6 in black, and he was traveling down Plenty Rd and suddenly heard a wooshing sound.
Pulled the jigger back and the glass had come out.
Snapped off one of the hinges too, so the whole assembly was ****ed.
He took it back to the manufacturer thinking he'd be up for around 2k, but they said they're replace it for free.
He was pretty pleased.
He told them he was travelling at 100km/h but it was significantly faster.

i find them better for cooler climates and at night time actually.. if its really sunny, it just burns the **** out of your head.. plus the glare is pretty bad sometimes aswell, depending on the suns position..
personally, i love my sunroof and it gets used on a daily basis (unless it rains all day) but it is mainly used around town when im only doing about 40-60km/ph.. anything over 80 and the noise is quite loud..
like anything, i'd be a bit weary of having an aftermarket job done, becuase i have heard problems of them leaking etc etc.. but i dont know for sure whether they do or not, as mine is factory.. only thing i have noticed with mine is the seal can rub against the metal of the roof and rattle a bit (normally only happens when it is cold)

Webasto-Hollinda sunroofs are the only ones to use, Ford, Holden, Mitsubishi and Toyota all use them as OE fit on local models. Have never had a problem with them on the dozen cars we had fitted them to when I worked for VW. Likewise dad had one on his Audi and had no problems, apart from wind noise at 200km/h. Thinking about one for the wagon, if I don't go rear DVD screen that is.
