i own a TR and ive noticed that it has a rather fat ass end, it is a 1993 model, now is it just me or do other TR magna's have the same effect? i've seen other TR's with spoilers and thgey acctually look pretty good, whats up?

its the horizontal effect.

becuase the lights are horizontal it gives the illusion of it being PHat.

now take a look at a 3rd gens rear ass, its tail lights are vertical and IMO it dont look as phat.

so a nice flat horizontal spoiler willl set it off nicely.

hope that explains it

mate the best advice I can give you is to hit up your local wreckers for a spoiler...a metric #@%ton of magna`s came with spoilers, so you shouldnt have to go far

personally tho, i prefer the clean lines without a spoiler on any car...in another car club i signed up for here in townsville, theres a red dewinged rx7....it is teh s3x

...as for me returning to magna-dom, nothing is finalised as of yet, but so very very likely. I've been driving it around lately while my 'rolla fails the roadworthy process. I need it to switch rego into my name from my late grandfathers..it was his car, hence my father wants to swap cars with me + cash adjustment his way. car was originally mine, but sold to parents when I ran into money troubles and went car-less for quite some time, but still driving the magna. But after driving the car for 6 months, I've realised it suits my needs more than the old 'rolla (phat as it may be, Im in a climate where aircon is crucial.) I recently left my job, so wether or not i make the swap depends on how quickly I can find another job (bloody holiday season..)

/thread hijack

Keep it smmooooottthhh :P no spoilers

depends on which wreckers u goto, thers some round the place which sells them for an unbelieveablly low or high price.. so wat u should/could do is search around ur local wreckers and see who sells them cheaper

I have a 1992 TR 4 cyl and i also noticed how good the back looks and started to draw up sum sketches to try and make the rest of the car meet the same quality. But so far i'm only up to sketch stage and i dont have the money to continue on. And i havent worked out the measurements but my car will surely change. I had always noticed how good the back looked but every1 who owned other cars like commodores:doubt: and falcons:doubt: say im full of ****. They just cant respect other cars.

My computer wont let me post the pictures, stupid things:rant:

I like it, i wouldnt have gotten the spoiler personally but it does look good, and thats exaclty why i like the back of the TR/TS. And your cars the same colour as mine :D (except with less scratches:cry: ). I wish people learnt to park.

I hope to see pics of it finshed from all angles, but i got one question.
Are you going to keep that boot garnish because i think by changing or painting the garnish the back can look so much better. But that is a personal opinion.:)
