before i send my car in for colour coding, i need to decide on a new grille and boot garnish, and possibly a new front bar.

my options for grille are:

cut the centre lines out of my current TS grille, and paint silver / or /
cut the centre lines out of my current TS grille, and paint body colour / or /
buy a TR grille (with mitsu badge in place), and paint body colour / or /
buy a Kr verada grille and debadge.

so far the last 2 are my favouite

as for the boot, i will be debadging, thats a given. however im not sure if i should keep my current boot garnish, or buy a TR ione, or buy whichever the translucent red one is (would go nicely with my burgundy paint)

front bar, im thinking a verada or diamante bar, but not quite prepared for that sort of shipping costs

opinions?

im guessing u ment the KS grille... go for it man! seriously makes ur car look good, also while ur at the front, get urself a set of parras (unless u got a set already), imo go for a diamante bar- u can probly find one at the wreckers (which id recommend going to), as for ur rear, yeah debadge or get the 3rd gen diamante badges (which im lookin for), and i think its the TS SE that has the transperent red garnish.. also maybe tint ur rear lights a bit, would look nice, and either go for a twin single exhaust tip on each side or a twin exhaust tip, sets off the car nicely :cool:

What colour is your car?
I think colour coding the outside bit of the grille, and then doing the inside of it black or silver would look pretty cool.

For the rear, Keep your shiney MITSUBISHI letters. Get a TR Garnish and spray that with the lens tint, then, cut off the little spikes on the rear of each letter, and stick them over the tinted TR Garnish, where it says MITSUBISHI.

so basically you will have the dark tinted background, against the shiney chrome looking MITSUBISHI lettering.

as for the front, hell why not get the KS Grille!

Nah i meant KR :P once debadged, its just 4 black straight lines :p i like (yet after photoshopping to show my brother, he needed a punching for saying it looked like a VN commy :()

Def. not ts 2 for translucent garnish..tr 2 or verada maybe?

which model TR had the normal TR grille, but with black on the bars, and a chrome border?

Btw, my magna is burgundy maroon...think Tuff Tr`s car as a Dirty TS

haha, i wouldnt go the TR grille with chrome surround, looks tacky IMO.........if your not going to get parras, get a TR grille thats color coded.

IF you are going to get parras, paint it black, but i did a few chops with mine, and it looks better with the coded grille.

oh and if you get the TR grille take the mitsu logo right off.......makes it look 10 times better

I actualy prefer the TR grille for the size of the badge lol

but somehow i think the crome will sit nicely with the colour and match the crome highlights on my front bar (which I am now keeping and colour coding instead...your car made me do it :P)

lol evry1 loves the KS grille coz it gives a sports look.. but all to their own, and to be honest, wen u get the money look into buying a pair of parras, they really make the car look nice ;)

but yeh the tr grille looks good debadged and colour coded, but if ur gonna colour code ur whole car, its gonna be expensive to do if u get sum1 to do it, it cost me about 350 to get my front bumper fixed and repainted

well i might go for a TR grille then..with black inserts and a colour coded border..plenty aroudn at wreckers..with some luck ill probably find a burgundy one

Lol, IMO doing what i said to the rear garnish would be very unique and stand out a bit.
for the front, well all i can say is start chopping, or talk to one of us and we can chop for you.

yeah, just remember, i had a completely different coloured bumper than my car, i also had to get some damage fixed, so the damage got rebent, it was sanded back, filled, primer, then respray, took about 2 days

u wouldnt believe how many ppl ive asked for these sets (theVRX, ego, etc) then they get sold b4 i could get to them, plus they were a bit over my price range so i'll stick with my kf verada/tf magna sports/tj magna awd rims... its so confusing, they used these set of rims on a fair few models

Diamante front bar with mesh grille:

now THATS a front end id kill for :P any idea how much it would cost, not including the front bar?

The mesh is just cut to fit stuff from any hardware store, getting the grille trim... no idea... didnt verada's come with that style of grille? If they did then it would cost that much + 10 bucks or so for the mesh... then if you wanted parabolics however much they cost...

I guess i should just say i've no idea... but for me just 10 bucks and a pair of cutters.

KS grille is very similar, though i dont think it came out in chrome and it doesn't have the surrounds for the head lights.

yep, that front grille assembaly(sp) is a diamante special.
