Hi all,

I have a 2001 Silver Advace that the missus has finally allowed me to mod. I am after any thoughts as to to mag sizing and how low I should go and exhaust type to make it look allright.

Hrmmmm

01 is TJ from memory, or maybe late TH? im not sure....

hrmmm, rims go to 18" and look sweet, can fit 19"s or 20"s but cost + insurance = unfeasable

superlows look the shiz but are illegal, but not terribly policed on magna's

exhaust, try a twin upswept exhaust, pm TRAVIS for some pics, looks good with your rear bar

Howdy,

1st - Welcome to the forums!

2nd - Theres a search function up near the top of the screen (next to the new posts button). Dont worry to much as theres veteran members here who wouldnt have a clue where it is.

3rd - Depending how much you want to spend will determine what you can get for your car.

Suspension:
If you want rider comfort on a budget - King Springs Lows (40mm drop) + monroe GT sports rider shocks

If you arent after much comfort but still on a budget - King Springs Superlows (60mm drop) + monroe GT sports shocks.

Not on a budget - Coil Overs (adjustable to just about any height)

Rims + Tyres:
You can have anything up to 20" rims if you want. Again its dependant on your $$$

Exhaust:
This is really a personal choice thing. A redback catback (from your catalyst back) is a pretty nice exhaust - and fairly cheap.

More expensive options are a custom straight through 2.5" exhaust system with a Magnaflow or similar muffler strapped on the back. - Choice here are single rice cannon tips, spunky twin mufflers, a muffler out each rear side of the car, square, oval etc etc..

pffft, just gotta be quick

on the TE-TJ Exec rear bars, pretty much all zorsts look out of place & ghey, but the twin upswept is the best IMHO...

a fair few people on here have them, probably thinking it looks alright and not "ghey"

cheers all,

thanks for the prompt replies, I am in brisbane, any suggestions for decent performance mechanic.

Looking at a spend of around 3k minimum. I hear that you can upgrade the exhaust and increase KW rating. Looking to put some nice 18's and 245 tyres to suit. Is there anywhere I can get the leather seats from a verada to fit.

Leave him alone :P hes gone through so many years that all those shows are just a blur :P

Someone can correct me here if im wrong, but leather verada seats should bolt right on..however sourcing them can be a pain, and then theres the cost :S
