ok i just got my new head unit 7" screen in one,i have to wait a week befor i can get it installed my question is? is it really that hard to do yourself? if not where do i start?

If you're not even sure where to start I'd recommend taking it to the pros ;)

the problem with that method is he'll never learn that way. I can't help you, I've personally never installed a screen and not sure about the wiring configurations. I know there should be a handbrake wire (that way you're only allowed to watch it while the handbrake is on.

if its new or 2nd hand, if it comes with a manual, it should tell you all you need to know there mate, taking a stab im guessing it use's a set of RCA's, + and - power, and a remote wire, similar to an amp, can anyone confirm this for him?

yeah its got all that and its not hard to get around the handbreak wire just have to earth it

do you have to connect it to the handbrake? or is it just an option?

If its a DIN mount screen its as easy as installing a headunit (very easy). You'll just need to source new power leads (or piggy back off the headunits)
