Went to Mitsubishi today to get some touch up paint for the Verada. A helpful but perplexed spare parts bloke said he couldn't find a Verada yellow on the computer so I invited him outside to see for himself.
He checked the computer again and said it was called 'Wasp' and that Mitsubishi had not released it in touch up paint and wasn't likely to as not many would have been made. I asked him if it was the same colour as other Mitsubsihi's and he said no, VRX yellow was different. Said they have the same problem with some Pajero colours.
He told me if I want to fill stone chips I have to go to a crash repairer and have the colour mixed.
So there you go, I cant fix up my stone chips without forking out for a colour to be specially prepared.
Thanks Mitsubishi. Great moments in after sales service.

Im sorry to hear about that, id be majorly pi**ed off.
all i can recommend is going to super cheap........there should be a paint section there, with a little book, just match up your paint code to the corrosponding paint number......they MIGHT have it....
Major bummer, you would think when they bring out a certain color they would bring out repair paint.
funny enough, the paint the supplyed us with is thw wrong color, although labeled correctly, its the wrong paint...the one i got from supercheap was spot on......
good luck mate hope it doesnt end up costing much

Get it mixed at a crash shop - factory 'touch up paint' doesnt take into account colour fading, etc.

thanks, I already tried repco and they said the car is too new for a touch up paint to be released. I have seen 'nearly' the same colour paint touch up jobs and they look awful, so I'll have to get some mixed at a crash repairer, would probably be looking at around a hundred bucks (?) though just to have it mixed and take it home.
I guess I could try one of those mobile paint chip fixer dudes...
wat about mitre ten ?? i cant remember which place it was excatly but if u took them a sample of the paint they can mix it up for ya

I reckon this is the way I will go but I may write to Mitsubishi and complain.
Anyone tried any of the franchise touch up companies, or one is SA?

Pffft, you should *****, my falcon is Quartz (thats purple to us humans) and ford does make a touch up for it. Bugger fading this car has never been the colour of the touch up paint which is about 10 shades lighter and brighter. :D

Yeah those places (Supercheap/Repco/Autobahn/Big W) don't stock touch up paint for modern cars unfortunately. They still don't stock the right blue blemmish for our 2nd gen.

I was under the impression that VRX yellow was wasp yellow.

I went to Mitsi Spares to get some touch up paint, and the guy there said he had not heard of or seen of the colour Platinum, although it was released on the TW and is still on 380's. He had to order it in from the factory or whatever and it took 2 weeks. And the factory at tonsley is 2km away from my dealer.

I initially thought so too, maybe I should try another mitsubishi...or if someone has a yellow VRX I could compare paint codes.
