Was plodding past an exhaust shop yesterday and noticed a full twin system off a Falcodore or some car sitting beside the scrap bin. It had 2 nice stainless Turbo Tuff mufflers in it and 2 nice stainless tips and next thing I know, a light bulb was above my head :badgrin:

Before I knew it I was driving the ute home with this sytem in the back.

Got started last night making up the passenger side and got frustrated. Ended up putting only one on for now in place of the other sports muffler I had and I must say, although it's a bit louder it sounds MAGNIFICENT. I can't believe how sweet these little mufflers are.

So my mission for today is to get some mandrel doughnuts and make the 'Y' piece so I can put the other bastard on. That way I can be like all the other cool people with 2 shiny tips out the ass of my car.

Pretty cool I say all for a grand total so far of $0 :badgrin:

Sure as I can't type to save myself. I did the right thing, went in and asked that specific piece of rubbish was in fact rubbish just to be absolutely certain. Craz eh!!! :badgrin:

OMG, what a stupid shop owner! I woulda tried to sell it to you for some money! I woulda said...oh, yeah, thats not rubbish :redface: we just had to put it near the bin for a little while, as we needed some extra space before we put it back in the shop to sell :D

Whats it like to put on the passenger side? I'd imagine a little tough to make room but would look sweet! :D
Great find, i found 2 red neons in hard rubbish and loan behold they are now my boot light! :badgrin:

Just need to put some mounts up under the passenger side to hang it off then plumb it in to the rest (doing that and making the pipe work is what is so frustrating). You could fit a truck in there, just as much room as the drivers side. I'm only going to run it out after the 'over-axle' so it wont be a true twin system just two working mufflers and all the wank facter that goes with it :D :D :D

hey im suprised they let you take it and not charge you anything. Most places would rather destroy something that give it away for free.

aye... telstra here recently 'retired' 80 decent 2 year old gigabit switches ... wot did they do with the old ones... they crushed them....sigh.
(those things are still worth a bundle... and enuf to run a small country's phone system... or even the lan in my house!)

Nothing obviously!!!!! Ha ha ha. I dunno, tips are about $90 each and the mufflers, I doubt you'd get them for under $150 if not more and all the tubing, stainless is about $100/ metre.

It certainly isn't new but it's going under my car, I aint gonna see it and there's nothing some nice black paint wont tidy up.

I **** you not, local exhaust shop over here quoted me $98 for 3" Stainless. Any it is beside the point, all it demonstrates is that I wont ever buy from them!! BUD :badgrin:

Nah, Midas!!!!!! It was just sitting out the back next to the scrap bin. Not sure if it was tehre's or the wreckers next door (near Supercheap) but either way, they didn't want it. BUMMER :bowrofl:
