I am having a problem with my cruise control on/off switch, the button bit on the end of the arm. I have to press it several times, jiggle it around and face Mecca to get it to come on sometimes. Same with turning it off. Once it's on, it works faultlessly.
I have tried pulling the switch apart and cleaning the contacts but it didn't seem to make any diff. I drove a Camry the other day which had the same looking arm etc and the on/off switch was a definate solid movement. Does anyone else have this problem? Is the switch in later models more precise and solid? Are they interchangeable?

I have a similar problem. On a TF which has the older style CC switch (button in the dash instead of on the arm like in the TJ's)

I find I have to really push down hard on the arm sometimes for CC to engage. I'm used to it now, but would be interested to know of any easy fix.

ditto, same prob here on my new TH Sports.
