Firstly Hi. This is my 1st post here. I've searched but couldn't find this problem.
When in "D", if I'm driving up a slight incline at about 60km/h, there is a strong vibration felt. Seems like it's trying to engage O/D but can't quite do it. If I bang it back into 3rd, vibration goes away.
I'm thinking it's obviously a transmission problem but I'm curious to know if someone else has experienced this or maybe know the fix for it.
Sounds like your 4th gear clutches are worn and are slipping.
Off to the trans specialist for that one.

I have a Vibration when going 60->70Kms on a slight incline, I believe its just one of the main ball joints on the front suspention, It goes away when you change the load on the front wheels (Accelerate or Back off), I haven't really looked into it yet, am planning on going to pedders to get it checked out for $14!
Anyone else had this problem?
Cheers

ummmm, me!
I've chased the problem all over the front end, it's not ball joints. I had this killer vibration plus bad shake on braking. I thought it was all the one suspension &/or brake problem. I got a big warp machined out of the rotors which fixed the braking shake and left me with the acceleration shake.
Try changing back to 3rd when you feel the vibration. Bet you it goes away.

I tried 3rd gear and I still have the shimmy shake, I guess I have a different problem than you eh!
Cheers
