i'd stretch the budget slightly further to one of these
DD2510 (10" subwoofer) $373 (RRP$439)
DD2512 (12" subwoofer) $382 (RRP$449)
as found on FHRX's website

hey trav, check the thread on CAA in the SQ section, one guy i think has an amp for sale you might be interested in, or did you already get that 2 channel?

I don't think you are going to get much with spending $300. Is that for just the sub(s), or sub(s) and box and wiring and amp?
I think a single 15" may be in order, lots of bass, only paying for one driver.
JBL GT1502D in a ported box. Sub should be about $200, make a box for it should be under $100. But this is not taking into account amps, RCA's, Power wiring or speaker wiring.
Pioneer are also good at this price point, try Repco for Pioneer stuff. I have seen the TSW series 15's on sale for under $140.
Just have a look around...Autobarn, Strathfield and JB Hifi all have good specials on right now. Also have a look at Clarion (Autobarn stock them). Basically, if you see something that handles at least 200WRMS on sale for 25% off, buy it.
Starthfield have the JBL gt4-12's for $88 each, I have two in a sealed box and they go very well. I think they are the best value sub on the market.

$I Suggested a 10 inch Sealed Sub, he wants Bass with Accuracy.
With a Budget of $300 He is only going to be Able to get a Low end 10 inch from Clarion, Pioneer or Jaycar...

Okay, for accurancy, same sub, just go sealed.
$300 is not much to play with. $100 extra and you will have more options.

There's two cadences in a box in the for sale section... would'nt be a bad first solution...

I wanted some cheap bass in my car, and i only had a budget of $300, so i got a set of twin 10" subs from wow sight and sound. they are spl and actually go pretty hard. i was intending on replacing them within a couple months with either the infinity 10" or an eclipse 10", but these things just wont die. they work great. so im just gonna keep using them til they die.
besides that, if you dont want to loosen all your cars panels, you dont need a 15", 10" is fine, especially with 2 of them. its also more bass than just your speakers can put out, so it does make a nice noticable difference.
EDIT: With the size of the magna, if you only get a 10 or 12", you will need two to get a decent amount of bass out of them.
