Issue 1:
My TS V6 has a flat spot off idle when cold, but when its hot its fine..
Any ideas?
I was thinking that it may be the oxygen sensor?
Its fine once its hot, its only for about the first few minutes whilst driving, but it may also be marginally effecting performance, economy etc.
Issue 2:
Also I recently installed another engine (2 mths and 7000Km ago) and I seem to have what I assume is a wiring issue somewhere in the main engine loom.
When out on the highway and I give it a squirt, it will hessitate, then start to run like its missing on about 2 or 3 cyls. Sometimes the "check engine" light even comes on (but it doesnt come on every time) and regardless of if the check engine light comes on or not, every time it does this I have to pull up, turn the engine off, pop the bonnet and wriggle the throttlebody wires, the front injector wires, the coil wires, dizzy wires etc before it will idle properly again.
I thought that I had found the issue when I noticed that the number 3 injector on the replacement engine had some green corrosion on the terminals. a small dose of WD spray and a rub over with the blade of a screwdriver soon eliminated that from the picture.
Im not certain if the issue just goes away once I turn off the engine, it hasnt played up lately because I have adapted my driving style to suit the condition, so I dont accelerate hard now.
