howdy,

just had the flex pipe replaced on my pacemakers yesterday as it was leaking. Im glad to say it changed the performance of my car now i have back preasure again :D . The bloke who fitted it for me said that it could be because my engine mounts have worn out cause the flex pipe to **** itself. I am assuming the one that he could be refering to is the front mount just behind the radiator but im not sure how to check all my mounts to be sure.

anyone had these issues before? and are there any aftermarket products that kick arse to replace the stock ones?

cheers

my engine mounts are having problems to but i'm getting them fixed next week. I think that the easiest way to check the mounts would be to put the car up into a hoist. But if u cant do this u should try jacking it up and securing it while u check them, from memory in a 2002 model the mounts are in the positions:

1. Around the middle and next to the firewall (at the bottom obviously). it might be closer to the passenger side.
2. One near the right side the car, next to the wheel
3. Opposite side near wheel, might be closer to the front or closer to the firewall.
4. Near the radiator

I dont think aftermarket mounts are made for a 2002 model (or any for that matter). This is just so u have an idea of where the mounts are, they may be completely wrong, its only from memory.

I thought the QLD chapter boys had some sets of bushes made?? Neoprene items from memory - which'd be a good idea in your ride.

i thought theyre poly-urethane from memory; could've check when getting linky but that would've required more effort.
