You can make coil over kits fairly cheaply. What you save in money you spend in time though, and you need the tools, eg; welding.

nah not making them, donour of another model car that bolts right in, everything looks identical and all research done suggests they bolt straight in just need to be tested now

how so?

suspension is one of the most important parts of the car...

make sure the square has right angles first... ;)

spending huge amounts of money isnt always best, look at rpw's flowed TB's compared to EZ boys .

all i am saying is there is quite possibly a cheaper option for the same or near the same result

why do u always got to be so negative in all of my threads ? ..

coilovers in adelaide are are illegal UNLESS u have a plated welded to the lowest point of it being legal, that was straight out of a cops mouth,

al im saying is there is very possibly a much cheaper version of genuine coilovers available, and worrying about ADr approval is stupid when 90% of cars here r lower than legal louder than legal, have darker tint than legal, illegal steering wheels, illegal rim sizes etc ..

thats my point... backyarders are RENOWN for this... hence my questioning

sorry for questioning / enquiring about a product...

why dont you try it out on YOUR magna, tell us if it fits or not, THEN advertise it?

just a thought... :)

look if u re read the whiole thread i said that it steal needs to be fitted to be 100% sure, but from all research done it seems to be a go'er,

and i wasnt advertising was asking if anyone would be interested, i mean lighten up EZ boy posts up EOI's on his un finished products that he makes.. u already have coilovers so this thread dont really have any relavance to u in the first place

yes, i do have coils, hence why i get interested in what else is avaliable for magnas, as, i can vouch for how good they are, and what improvements there is... (possibly talk them up for you)

but, as theyre not for sale, ill leave this thread...

sorry for quierying once again...

In any case, I'm interested if they are a genuine part which will bolt straight in without modification. Not keen on cut and shut jobs on suspension though....too dangerous

coilovers technically are legal, they are not legal ONLY if you lower them to below legal height. Nothing in the ADR or Road Traffic Act that says they are not. Cops has always said they are illegal as a way to get you to regency pk, plus it is their way of preventing people having a suspension system that can "potentially" be lowered to below legal limit. It's like the speed limit, it is illegal for any cars to go faster than 25km/h at a school zone, but all cars CAN go faster than 25km/h.

That's why Regency Pk's attitude is that you can have adjustable height, just weld a plate at the lowest legal setting so you can't get into the "illegal" zone.

In fact Hot Bits and Tein now sell coilovers adjusted to the "legal" height, so they are selling a legal product, it's up to you to make them illegal. Queensland is the first state to give the all ok for coilovers if at the time of sale they are adjusted to the legal height.

don't forget springs can be chopped to be sat at illegal height also. Even factory ones.
