Just wondering what some other people have payed for a Unichip install + tune + 2 dyno runs (one dyno run before any work is done, and one run after the install) I got quoted $1600, $800 for the Unichip and $800 for the tune and dyno runs. Does that sound about right?

Sounds like they saw you coming. Typically it's around the 1200 - 1300 mark.

My buddy got a overquote on his chip and tune because they want to tell you what it might cost instead of running into problems and needing to run a few more dyno runs to iron it out and then ending up out of pocket.

he got quoted $1500 for his pulsar, they got it done for $1100

That's quite true. My Haltech install and tune cost a bit more as they asked if I wanted compression and injector tests and I did. Glad I did as one was leaking when clean but as it was dirty, it appeared fine.

from memory the Greddy eManage is only $1300 drive away. At least you know it is not locked and can be potentially tuned by anyone one just Unichip dealers. Not to mention they have good resale value.
