just a quick question for those electronical technicle minded people

is there simple way of changing the indicators so they are always on when you have your lights on, but when u indicate, they flash off instead ????

something you can buy perhaps ?

just curious cos i think it would look sweet,

hey, this isnt anything to do with the indicators but, it is along the same lines and i didnt wanna start a new thread.

I was thinking about finding a way to make LED's that fit around the outside of a car (in the centre of the mags, on the doors etc.) Nothing visble while its day time, as in it looks like there is no LED's. But i was wondering if this is classified as edge lights are whatever they are called. The lights that trucks have around the outside of them so u know how big they are etc..
Just wondering if it would be illegal. (I still havent figured out a way to make the LED's position not look crap and probably wont, but i just wanna know if its illegal)

i know it would look ricey but thats what my friends into, he has a 90's model corolla with all this crap in it and he's thinkin about having pulsing LED's outside his car, sounds dodgy to me to, but i said i'd find out if they are illegal. Then again he doesnt really care if its legal, i guess he just wanted to know. I'll post a pic up if he does so we can get a good laughlol

I'm not sure if this is similar to what you wanted to do but I have a set of spare set of tailights and I was considering moving the indicator bulb into the brake light section by making an additional hole. As such, indicating would result in my brake lights flashing but the brake lights will also work as they are a separate bulb. Cool huh! :D

Subsequently, I would move the reverse light bulb and put it into the indicator light section. As a result, my reverse lights would be orange. Cool huh! :D

In addition to all that, I wanted to move my headlight parkers and put them in the front headlight indicators. This would mean there would be a nice American car orange glow but the indicators would still flash brighter. But the front headlight indicator is a pain to get to.

You may have noticed this if you watched the Ford Explorer in Traffic last night or generally notice this on american cars.
