What do people think of putting a 2004 model monaro spoiler on a 2000 tj magna?

not a real lot really.... commodores are too round, where the magna has sharp edged styling, i just really dont think it would work. not to mention if it will fit on the boot in the 1st place.
i'd recommend getting a TH sports wing... best one ever on magnas :D thats if you really have to get a wing at all! (seems like a fair few of us are against em, but of course its your car!)

Has anyone out there put a TL wing on a TJ boot? I like the TL wing on the VR/VRX, but with the 'dip' in the top of the boot lid, I'm not sure how it would look. (I don't like the big wings myself)
Cheers

we sat the spoiler on my car and it didnt look to bad. It molded perfectly down the sides of my boot and besides for $100 brand new pre primed i wasnt complaining lol

Personally i'd go for something different, why take a factory option which anyone with a magna can have straight from the showroom floor?
Custom or made to fit is the way to go. I'd say go with the Monaro spoiler.

People don't even put monaro wings on their monaros, it'd look terrible on a Magna.

:stoopid:
I like wings, spoilers, bodykits... Stock, factory or aftermarket.
I like mixing & matching as well, as long as they match - nothing worse than a 3ft spoiler or 6ft wing on a 4ft boot, etc...
Some are questionable tho - like WRX bonnet scoops on a HQ Holden or an EVO rear wing on a XF Falcon. Some mixes are not made in heaven.
If it goes well, you like it and can afford it - I say go for it !!!

It would look as good as that Monaro with the Ralliart / Evo spoiler i.e. crap.
And drift wings are ghey.

How about a picture? Would help us give some more specific feedback - did an image search on Google... this is some of what I found...
P.S.
(ME - I'd go for it if you like it, stick it on, post a pic and see what people think - some will like it some won't but that's okay.)

If the style suits the car, im all for a bit of a lip on the front and rear with side skirts. try the monaro wing for size.

yeah not to fussed on the whole drift or alloy wing theory. Has to be more moulded and colour coded in my opinion.

i'd do the wing itself the same color as the car, though the struts would be black, and i'd use a fibreglass wing.

I found that the VRX wing has a great shape but the price wasnt the friendiest so I found a cheat alturnative a 2003 Celica wing on ebay for $36 and fits perfectly and follows the shape at the rear of the magna.

My spoiler gives me an extra 16kw at the wheels. No joke.
...it also gives me the ability to fly, cure cancer and shag Gwen Stefani.
AND it looks okay at the same time!
