Why oh why. In the name of all things holy. The guy I bought my MX5 off had a nudge bar, and thank god he wanted to keep it. I hate them. They look so cheap and nasty. IMHO, they are a poor mans bullbar

Fuzzlet, Pharagon - :gtfo:

you obviously havent seen my car in the flesh then, looks quite good, poor mans bullbar........that just makes f**k all sense, if i wanted a bullbar, id buy the ute to go with it
ive seen alot of nudge bars but you have never seen quite as thick as this one.
when you see my car, then you may be able to bag it.

im saying this as mine is basically the same as hojo's

the only reason to get a nudge bar is for spot lights so you can avoid "nudging things" at night, other then that your kidding yourself, as if its gonna help in a incedent :bowrofl:

i quite like the look of them plus they are practical, in a little fender bender or car park accident less damage.

I will agree on the practicality of them, as the previous owner of my car had one to limit the damage when ppl reversed into the car, but if its already going to have a scratch and dent repaired...

learn to take constructive critisizm...yes they may have practical uses but dont add to the look of your 4 door family car

i would like to carefully say that it was only a chop to see whether people would criticise or compliment it on my car, its not real as u can see if u look at the pic properly (different shades)..

although i didnt like nudge bars, wen tuff chopped it to my car i thought it didnt look too bad, now i wouldnt mind seeing it on the wagon.. i dont care wat u guys think or say, coz its all to their own so bag out the nudge bars all u guys want, but if tuff likes them he can keep it

personally i like chrome nudge bars on some cars if they don't stick up too high.
i don't think they look out of place on a 2nd Gen at all.
as far as practicality, they are more practical than a spoiler and a set of mags... but we all love nice shiney rims, so i say if u appreciate having a nudge bar, then get one.

and if it saves you even once having to get a colour coded bumper resprayed or replaced it's worth it. i can think of several times that my tow bars (on various cars) have averted hundreds of dollars damage.

Why make a thread about it if you dont care?
