Ok my sub stopped working.
Ive checked all the fuses, and wiring it all appears ok.
Im yet to check the plug into the head unit but i dont think that could have come undone by itself. the cd reader ont he HU **** itself a few months back so i think the sub preout might have gone the same way.
Can anyone else recomend anything to check?
i suggest the first thing u might want to sheck is whether or not the actual sub works. Try and c if the sub works without going thru the amp (assuming u have it running thru one). If it still isnt working i think it might be in ur head unit

I seriously doubt the amp or sub have blown/been damaged.
I run a 400W RMS sub off a 460W RMS amp, and its nowhere near full volume and bass boost is off.
But... how do i check it without the amp?
Oh and yeah, Ive only had these installed since late september, the HU since mid 04.
I think if u can find a 6 volt battery or something, to make sure this doesnt damage ur sub. Just attach + and - to the battery and c if the cone moves. (It doesnt matter which way the sub is wired to the battery as it works by alternating the current)

Wire your subs into someone else's system if you can.
I think it is more than likely the HU has failed or the RCA leads have been damaged.
I'd also check the amp is actually turning on too.... remote wire could be damaged or fallen out, either the HU end or the amp end.

Just check the resistance across the terminals. If there's no resistance your sub isnt working.
If you cannot find the issue after looking for a while, you're more than welcome to come down here and I'll find it for you. ;)
