Decided to pop my bonnet today, no reason just to suss out the view and i realised that one of my fans wasnt working. What's the go....I drive a 2002 model TJ. I droveit for abit and the engien temperature didn't seem to differ i wouldn't even notice if i didnt pop the bonnet??

The secondary fan is normally used when the engine is extremely hot (very rare for this to occur) or where the air conditioning is being used.

Hmmm yeah. Thanks guys. I turned the air con on and it didn't work. I don't know i'm sure it's worked in the past. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks again.

the second fan doesn't always run. Wait until a hot day and see what happens. When engine running at normal temp, then have a look. It will come on, and then turn off again after few minutes
