hi all

can someone advise me where the drain nut is for the tranny fluid? Is it a simple case of undo screw and all of it coems out just like an oil change?

Thanks
Chris

1 remove the right hand hose connecting the transmission oil cooler pipe to the oil cooler (built into the bottom of the radiator )

2 Connect a hose from the radiator cooler pipe to an oil drain recepable large enough to hold 5lt of oil.

3 start engine and discharge the oil. Car in neutral and idling.

Caution
Start engine and then Stop within 1 minute. if oil is discharged before 1 min stop engine at that time. discharge approx 4.5 lt

4 remove drain plug at the bottom of transmisssion and drain oil. discharge approx 1lt.

5 install drain plug & gasket

6 fill through oil filler tube approx 5.5lt
Note do NOT exceed Cold level on dipstick

7 Repeat step 3 and discharge approx 3lt

8 add oil approx 3lt
Note check oil for for contamination and repeat steps 7 & 8 if contaminated

9 Attach hose (step 1 ) & insert dipstick.

10 start and idle 1-2 min

11 move through all gears and finnish in neutral

12 make sure oil is in cold mark

13 drive until car reaches normal temperature check oil must be within Hot range

14 replace dipstick and thats all folks

Ps thats for a TJ
