if you buy a 2005 plate 380 you get 5 years or 75,000km FREE FACTORY SERVICING!!! thats ontop of the 5/10 warranty! What a deal! Mitsubishi refuse to discount 380's because they dont want a re-sale disaster like they got after discounting magna's, so instead they are doing these kinds of things to clear cars with old plates on them

Considering dealer servicing costs as anywhere from $300 and up, that is only 8 services if it is handbooked at 5K, 10K & 10K intervals thereafter. I guess it's 'worth' around a $2k (I use that term losely... no way is a service worth $300)

But nice to see the non-discount which might actually help resale values on the car.
A $1K fuel card would be nice too... the new outlander 'Activ' gets $1500 of extras and a $500 BP fuel card.

There'd have to be some sort of catch though.
Like they only pay for parts and you pay labour.
Or you pay for labour and parts but it only covers a certain amount.
Or it only covers the basic oil change/checkup.

I thought the service intervals were 15000km. In that case you are getting 5 services and they are all fairly small ones - approx $150-$250. Bank on around a $1000 saving.

 With current sale numbers, it can take Mitsubishi few years to clear this stock – (2000-3000 cars)

dad bought a triton once that had 5 years free servicing.. it was a load of crap... it was only labour and parts for the minor service.. still had to pay for the timing belt service at 100kkms which he clocked up in just under 4 years..

its a good idea though, people think.. WOW! 5 years free servicing.. but its better getting a $1000 fuel card or $2000 worth of options/accessories of your choice etc rather than dropping the price of the car..
