Hello people!
Well here i need some help and advice with installing a Eurovox head unit into the magna!
I've pulled out the stock unit from the Nissan R33 GT-R and i would like to replace the magna's crummy old cassette deck with this double DIN cd/cassette player
Now i know some of you guys will be, like, omgosh what are you trying to do here  But i'd like to use this for the mean time while i get some cash together to install a nice head unit. Ok! So here we go! I've encountered a problem with installing the head unit. Now everything plugs in nicely cept the *big* plug (marked in red circle). The magna's plug is a bit *too* big to fit it!
What should i do to get it working? Is there like an adapter i need/can buy?
Sorry guys

Any help would be much appreciated :D

Hey dude..
first i would think that the plastic centre console won't fit back over a double din deck, unless you mod it.
secondly. that "plug" as i can see is all your inputs and outputs... ie battery, ground, speakers.. so on..
you would have to try and find a magna to nissan adapter ( highly doubt it )
next thing you could try is get the plug to fit the back of the radio ( nissan plug, supercheap or autobarn?) and then start wiring in all the individual wires from your cars side :)
enjoy

quick how to for 2nd gens
http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27893

Goto an audio store and buy a Nissan headunit to OSI (I think they are called) Then an OSI to mitsu.

There are two plugs, one for speakers and one for power/ground/remote/dimmer etc

Or just hack up the mitsu plug and go straight to OSI. This will interface easily with all headunits.

All you have to do is buy the right plug.

Solder and heatshrink ur connections.

Peace

what a massive ****er!! I'd just wait and put in a new head unit that way u save some money and adapter pieces as u only have to do it once.:P

I'd use it as a brick, its like a bloody cube!! Damn!!
I can just see someone ditching it at the ground just to see it shatter.
