Nothing beats a good seafoam back flush (as in pump it the opposite way to which the oil/water normally flows). I wouldnt wanna be a guinea pig for any new product myself.

hi Ashneel
Look I'm no expert but if you are talking about flushing out all the oil gunk that has built up over time
then
with older cars if an engine had not had the oil changed for a long time and then it was changed , the new oil would tend to flush out some of the gunk
soon after motors would become very rattly and not last very long either
TALK to a FEW mechanics cause this could be disastorous
good luck

Go and buy some very cheap oil, around the 8 dollars for 5L mark from places like big w. The oil itself is fine and is manufactured to the SAE standard. Use it (and a new filter) for 2 or 3 days in your motor.
Change your oil and filter again.
For the second oil change, use a middle of the range 20w50, like Mobil SuperHP or valvoline XLD premium. From then on change your oil at around about the 7000km mark and use a new filter each time.
For frequent oil changes, a cheaper 20w50 oil is ideal as the main difference between expencive oils and cheaper oils is the ability to resist breaking down. If changed regularly, cheaper oil is perfect for the job.

30 years ago when i had a mark 2 cortina i used to get light gear oil from work and flushed the engine with it.
Let it idle for a few minutes or until the bearings rumbled, had the cleanest engine around, don't recommend it nowadays tho'

I have been recommended to use and have been using Nulon Engine Flush. You cant buy it off the shelf. You actually have to ask for it at somewhere like Bursons.
I can't recommend it enough. Aparently the stuff on the shelf is so watered down for dummies and this Nulon Engine flush is a full strength concentrate and thats why they dont sell it to anyone because like some people do, they think if you put 2 bottles in instead of 1 it will do a better job and if you did it with the full strength stuff it would do damage. That is why the on the shelf stuff is diluted down.
You add it to the oil before changing and drive the car softly for about 15 mins and then drain the oil when still hot. It drains better when hot because its thinner and more comes out.
I started using it on my KH at 90,000k's and before then, as soon as i changed my oil it was dirty again within a week of driving. After using this stuff, my engine oil is still as clear as new after 10,000k's of driving. It nearly still looks new when i next drain the oil.
Cant recommend it enough. I use it before every engine oil change. Just remember to change the engine oil filter everytime as well.
As for oil, comes down to personal preferance. I use Castrol Magnatec in all my Verada's. It is a good all round oil and i am more than happy with it. Have used atleast 5 other brands/types and find the Magnatec the most suited but as the other guys said, it comes down to personal choice.

Bursons is a store to buy all your car needs. Not like supercheap tho, its pretty much parts and oil, not too much more. I get all my parts there and its usually cheaper (also i get that show your card n save things from RACV), its a great place to shop!
They are bloody everywhere http://www.burson.com.au/allstores/Storehtm/store_search.htm#Victoria
