there are better light switched wires to use than the one that goes to the HU...
For instance if you use this ne then it is coming through the dimmer switch..
Tehrefore depending on what you are running you run the risk of overloading this lot of cables and the lights attached to them..
If you want the thing to be dimmed then I guess you could use this wire.....
if you dont want the dim then I suggest you choose the park wire to splice off.
look under the bonnet and find the park wires... then look at the cable colours and then check ou the harbness coming from the steering cloumn down and see if you can find it..
I reckon you run a risk of blowing all your dash lights if you try to run it off that circuit.

Yes but use a relay that sources power from a switched accesories power source (or constant 12V if you want your fancy lights to be on whilst key is off).
