Hi Folks,

One of my housemates has a '94 Magna Executive, with some serious tappet noise going on. Without a workshop manual we don't know what the clearances should be (I haven't actually lifted the rocker cover off, so I'm hoping it's easily adjustable and not shims or hydraulic lifters or somesuch)..

Would anyone happen to know what the valve clearances for inlet and outlet on the 94 should be? (please specify whether it's the hot or cold measurement if you do know it thank)

Thanks,

Damien

they arent adjustable as they use hydraulic lifters,

if there noisy first bet is to change the oil, if its got high k's like 150xxx something like 20w-50 might shut them up, if there still noisy then u will have to replace them, best replacing all instead of taking a stab of which one u think is noisy bit difficult to diagnose

Bugger on the not adustable, but thanks, will suggest he change the oil.. If that doesn't fix it, do you know roughly what the lifters are worth?

Thanks,
