Hello folks , another newbie to the forum.
And another non starter, but with a difference.
89 TP Magna, auto , carbie.
After stop start operation or when hot it will not restart.
Turn key and all dash lights and radio work but will not crank motor.
I'ts as though it is in drive. Lift bonnet and allow to cool down and away I go.
Any ideas would be helpful

How old is the battery? The heat in the engine bay could be affecting it.

It could also be the heat affecting the starter motor or solenoid.

Try a jump start next time it does it. You could also try shorting the small terminal on the starter to the big terminal with a screwdriver to see if it turns over. :D
