I was coming home from work tonight which is only a 5km drive and my fuel gage went from over half a tank to under a quarter of a tank. I could literally see it moving down as i was driving. Is this just a error on my fuel display or am i leaking fuel????

I own a 1994 TS SE Magna, no probs before this.

Park on a flat surface, pop the hood and smell for petrol around near the injectors/fuel lines in the engine bay... then after a few mins, reverse the car and look if any petrol has leaked onto the ground... Keep smellin arond for petrol too.

That's a ****load of lost fuel man, if that's what's happenin... My guess is a faulty reading or stuffed guage

Also, check the exhaust for black smoke (give it a few revs while runnin), which will indicate it's runnin heaps rich and will need a tune
