Hey guys, I'm asking a door trim question but not really. I can get the trims off fine etc the only problem I'm finding is getting a decent glue that A) DOESN'T take a fortnight to set or B) Claims to bond pastics but only melts the vinyl.. Sooooooo..

What did you guys use to stick down your new trims?

hey yeah man umm just go to your local clark foam and rubber if you have one close to you they are about $30 and there the best around its called 3m super 77 spray adhesive perfect for vinyl its fast drying and will last ten times longer than any other adhesive. i think they also sell them at supercheap auto im not to sure.but i hope this helps

Just did my trims and had the same problem with the strong bonding glue so went to bunnings and got some spray adhesive about $12.00 a can and work just fine ....once you have sprayed both pieces you only have to wait 5 to 10 minutes and then put them together and it is stuck fast.

Yeah like the other's said (they all beat me to it) - Spray Adhesive.
Clark Rubber or even a craft shop like Spotlight.

But be careful - that stuff gets everything sticky !

and also to make sure its stuck behind on the plastic properly, use a hot-glue-gun to get it down tiiight that stuff never comes off!

Clark Rubber used to sell fancy marine grade contact adhesive in a tin. The spray is probably easier to work with if you're careful about overspray, but the tin stuff would most likely work out cheaper. If you use a solvent adhesive, (like superglue) expect your vinyl to melt.
