im not the best when it comes to mechanics. but is it grounded properly. im not sure if that will prevent a spark though?

First off, welcome to the site hope you enjoy. :D
Now the bad news, try checking all your fuses to see if any are blown. I hate to say it but if all the fuses are OK it sounds a tad like your computy may have died.
You have already done all the normal checks. Try taking the dizzie cap off and see if the rotor turns when your trying to start it. You could have sheared the dizzie shaft or drive gear. (not as bad as the computy $'s wise)
Anyone else got any other ideas? :)
P.S. not sure what engine you have (assume 2.6 4cyl), your profile say 3.8 V6 :noway:

did ya check your battery leads ???
and possible battery aswell.
umm.. battery? car fitted with alarm system? if so, maybe dodge immobilisers? heard this is common in cheap alarms..
Thanks for your suggestions it may just be a computer. Was driving and it just stopped, and will not go.

mine done the same thing ages ago ... was driving along and just died ... tried to start it again and nothing
it's been a long time since i done this so i cant really remember so here goes
there's a black plug that plugs into the distributer cap ... take it off and clean it (mine was full of corrosion and that's why it did'nt want to start and why the car had no spark)
also take the plug of the TPS and clean it as well .... after i done them the car worked fine again
i cant take all the credit ... the young dude at the RACQ fixed it for me ... but i hope it helps you out as well

Hey and welcome..
ok i had this problem a while ago..
turned out that my battery decided to die.. and it died hard...
it stalled at traffic lights and nothing... even the hazards wouldn't come on... eeek
(EGO,mysti.. i was stuck in the middle lane on that sharp bend just before those new traffics lights at roseville, on warringah road... in peak hour traffic :( ) omg the faces and the hand signals that came outta those people... sheesh
anyway my problem was the battery but yours may be more terminal.... not sure..
did you notice it struggling to start recently?? ie before it died? this could indicate the battery.

mmmm. Sounds simular to what happened to my KR Verada. I was driving home from work and it just died. Heard electrical switches clicking so i figured its got something to do with the computer.
Luckily tho i was just around the corner from Mitsubitshi so i took it in although they're struggling to know what the problem is. They said they are calling in someone to look at it who specialises in the older models.......... Going to cost a buttload.

Is the car getting fuel? If it has no spark and no fuel chances are there is a problem with the fuel injection system.
Do you know if the car is fitted with an immobiliser? Even the factory ones can die but aren't too hard to bypass.

Mine needs a new ECU. Was quoted $500 for a re-conditioned one + $150 for the rest of labour. Is this an ok price or am i getting ripped?

Battery is good, it cracks and the stereo goes. Just doesn't run, sometimes it decides to start, but usually after a couple of minutes it cuts out.
Managed to track down an ECU for $320 + $100 rebate if i give them the old one :)

Its that black plug I reckon, happened to my TS, You'd be driving along and all of a sudden it would cut out, Leave it a few mins and the car will start. I took it to the mechanics and they didn't have much of an idea. One of you guys on here actually recommended cleaning it, and soon as I did that i had no problems!
