View Full Version : Error Code?
Hi guys I just finished installing my sound system and now the number 5 flashes on the odometer screen in my series 2 magna, I think it's an error code but what does it stand for?
For those of you wondering I brought this baby a week ago after not finding the manual VRX I wanted, anyway I hope to put up some pics soon
Thanks in advance,
Adam
Don't worry guys I already worked it out.

Just for those of you that might read this thread in the future. This is the intial setup for the ECU when the car battery has been disconnected.
S stands for sedan, and then you choose your engine size and your away. Have a look in the manual and it oulines exactly what to do :P

Where in the manual is it? I looked in the index and couldnt find error codes listed.
glad i checked in here though cause i was about to take the car to a mechanic to get fixed because after we had issues with the battery and i replaced it i didnt know what the hell that meant and skipped through it, selecting 3.5 when its a 3.0 (didnt click as to what the numbers refered to) and it was running like crap.
Will reset the ECU again and set it properly.
Cheers.

It's not listed as an error code, because it isn't an error. I don't have the manual in front of me but it's probably in (or referenced in) the section on replacing the battery.

Sorry guys but these settings are not for setting up the ECU, its for configuring the trip computer so it can calculate the statistics properly. Setting the wrong engine size and/or body type will not affect the performance/integrity of the car.
