I need advice on which 6x9 speakers are good for bass/bottom end. They are going into work ute. The standard 6" and 4" and head unit have been replaced with pioneer stuff but it is still no good.I have been looking in the cab and should be able to squeeze in some 6x9s behind the seats, not enough room for anything bigger. Can anyone help with advice on which ones would give best bass as it sounds really crappy at the moment,or have any other suggestions.

In a ute your best bet is upgrading the front speakers... and upgrading your power. What speakers are running in the doors? and off what power?

Peace

I concur with Tuff, The JBL's would be a Great Choice in a Ute, 2 of my Ute Installs have used them with Great Sucess..One Being a Rodeo Space Cab and the Other a Rodeo Twin Cab 4x4..

On the Twin Cab, I used a Shallow Enclosure that was as Wide as the Back Seat and 5mm Deeper then the 6x9's Mounting depth and Low Passed them through an Amp.. The Bass Output was Supperior to the 8 inch Subs I originally had Planned on using but the Motor Structure was too deep for them to fit... The Owner is exceptionally happy

well trav mate, measure the hole first, if its say a 5" diameter, you might need a spacer for them to fit in, but they are an awesome speaker and you have no idea how good they sound compared to the old pioneers that were in there.

have u thought about bass tubes? they are like 6 or 8" subs in a tube that are designed for utes...jb hifi have them, so shouldnt be hard to find
