Cross Drilled and Slotted DBA golds going on the Pig tonight. Might finally be able to pull up in a reasonable distance now.
....and have to replace your pads every 6 months...

..........................don't care :P
Why do u have to replace your pads every 6 months??
Cross drilled + slotted = pads ripped apart.

the discs aren't really going to help you stop any better. they holes help in cooling, and the slots help dissapate brake pad gases. so the pads only really stop brake fade which you shouldn't get too often unless you race or ride your brakes.

forget replacing the pads give it 10000km of hard braking and your rotors will be shot
your going to have cracks right through them
slotted rotors are good
drilled are no good

My god, what have I started???
Anyway, they're on the car and a far cry better than the standard mitsi ones. Give it a couple of days to bed them in and I'll whack in the bendix Ultimates and she'll be all good.
ive just got dba slots on mine, because i heard cross drilled "can" snap. Been the best mod (so far) that I have done to the car.

Congrats on the brake upgrade mate. I get the impression all the critics in this topic haven't upgraded their brakes, and are just regurgitating facts that they think justify not upgrading the std magna brakes
I got a combo of DBA Golds on the front and DBA slotted on the rear ages ago (was the first mod I did to my auto TJ) and I haven't had any problems, and I'm still running the Bendix Advance pads that I fitted at the same time as the rotors. I'm not sure exactly how long I've had them on the car, but It's probably close to 18 months now.
Admittedly I don't drive like Michael Schumacher all the time, but when I have driven this puppy hard - I've had no issues with stopping whatsoever.

Good on you. Get them to lubricate the slides on the floating caliper pins - very important! See my experience here:

I did that, learnt that one years ago on my old Turbo Scorpion. Great advice at any rate. Cheers.

Isn't that a contradiction, I would think that no brake fade would mean you gotta stop better.
You wont be sorry, I've got slotted and i'm very happy. Next for me would be bigger ie AWD type.
