Sorry guys but l did try to search and came up with problems diff to min.
problem is when cruise is turned on then SET it purges up 1km or so which it has always done but then instead of settling it drops about 5km then any attempt to ACC using the switch makes the speed drop another 2km or so .. seems there is no way of it staying at the set speed or increasing it , all attepts make it slowly lose speed
Any help would be app
Sounds like the ECU is on the way out, you can pick one up from the wreakers for about $200. or wait 6 weeks and get a brand new one for $600 (comes from japan)

Thanks h45e Seems the wk for stuff ups head unit decided to crash too ... must be one of those last 3 yrs untill warranty gone then die. is it worth gettin a mech to test for error codes or just go with the ecu ?
Its prolly best to get them to test the codes, more research Ive done, and it also could be the vac pumps. My Cruise wouldnt engage, went to mitsu.. spent a whole bloody week on it.. after I replced the disc's on my car problem went away.

Any damages in the vac lines to and from the TB? Maybe the CRS diaphragm on the TB has a hole? Lets check the cheaper solutions first ;)

That saved you some money! We all get lucky eventually ;)
FYI, testing the diaphram can be done by using a vacuum hand tool exerting pressure on the diaphragm, suction by mouth can hold the CRS open once the butterfly is actually open. I do this to test exchange TBs when the come in.
