OK, you may remember my thread about how I picked up 4 speakers from autobarn for 10 bucks a pair

I installed the 2 in the year, loved them, got some ok bass out of them

Installed the 2 in the front, I dont get anywhere near the volume I used to, and they now crackle if its slightly loud.

when it was just the rears, the HU lights used to dim on bass notes when I had them up loud, but it still sounded fine...so im thinking theres not enough power going to them? theyre running off the 4x50 on the HU

So is it that I need a 4ch. amp? or just the fact that theyre dodgy 2-bit 10buck speakers? or a combination of the 2?

Your deck would be lucky to put out 14wrms per channel. You *could* put a real cheap amp on them if you must but seriously for $10.00 speakers what more could one want?

well i asked mainly cos im upgrading soon, and want to know if the same thing will happen due to lack of power
