My brother has an old pulsar EXA, 1985 i think. He is scrapping it and it has some mags on it and i wondered if they would fit on my 89 TP exec. I have seen a pic somewhere in the gen 1 "post your ride" section of a magna with the same wheels (it had evo -1 on the side i think).

Anyone help?

it would look better if you re-painted them a glossy black :)

or just cleaned up your stockies...

I don't particularly like the 3 spokes but they are a damn sight better than mine!

I would prefer to get my hands on some 5 spoke matt black mags but money is a factor :P

my cash at the moment is going to go into making the magna better to drive rather than better to look at so if i can get a set of mags for nothing i'll go that.

i picked up a set of 5 spoke auscar wheels with 80% tread, they are still the grey/silvery alloy colour, for $100!! :shock:

im going to sand them and put 'pot belly black' heat resistant matt black paint on em

i reckon they would look pretty tough! kinda transformers era... :badgrin:

but then again im lazy :doubt: and i reckon ill just sell em....

The_Monk, youll need a pic of the studs before i could tell, but also, youll need new rubber for those, as theyre 14" and ull need 75s not 65s, else your speedo will be greatly off.

ps. 14" rims on the magna look crap, i should know :(

The wheels are 4 stud but i dont know if they are correct offset however. When my car comes back from the auto shop i can get my bloody toolbox out of the boot and pry the centres off with a flathead. Then i'll take some photos of the studs.

Also i know 14" mags are crappy looking on the magna but i have the original TP exec hubcaps in less than perfect condition. I actually considered pulling them off and just using the steels because they are so bad.

Im pretty sure the wheels off a pulsar exa wont fit a first gen, a mate of mine had one it was fun to drive but a pain in the arse to find bigger wheels that would fit. Keep a look out for 2nd hand rims off an r31 if you want something cheap but not stupidly small. :)

the auscars are down south on my 2nd magna...
it came with them from factory i was told... they are 4 stud and a special order or sumthin....

i bought the magna cos its manual, new radiator, alternator,all round new suspension, new carbie...ahh the list goes on! its a wagon but in this butter yellow colour and it has a brown interior....fully sick, really makes my guts all tight.....

so im gonna get all the good stuff i need off it, try to fix the cracked head, and re sell it or
drive it off a cliff or burn it....

so if the wheels never get on my car ill post em up for sale....

Watch out for the offset on the spindle though.
