Alrighty! Its time for the uber system install, I've got myself a top of the range 12inch Eclipse Sub and a 1000watt rms mono block alpine amp to power it! Also got a top of the range Eclpise Deck!
What I still need are front splits and 6x9s but I dont know what to get, I am not necissarily after something really expensive but I am extremely picky with sound quality. They will be powered by a Alpine V12 100x4.
I mostly listen to Drum and Bass and Heavy Metal.
I also need a really good system installer North of the river and dont say Alberts Morley I have been disapointed by them to many times. Preferably not an alberts at all!
I have a budget left of about $1500 but I need to get almost the whole system installed for that. The deck and cabling are allreay in.
Thanks
Jorre

nice taste in music!
i believe the alpine range to be very good quality. the splits and 6 x 9's ! type R would be my reccomendation. a little expensive at times but if u are picky with ur quality, a very good choice. however im sure ppl wil contradict me! lol

If you already have a top qaulity sub, theres not any reason to get 6 x 9's. If I were you i would spend lots of your budget on the front splits and thats what you will be hearing most. As for rear fill I would go for some decent 6" speakers so that you dont get cancellation with your sub.

Aim to spend as much as possible on front splits. Leave your rears stock if need be... The fronts are where most of your SQ will be achieved as they cover the most octaves.

Do you want a simple 2 way setup?

I only really wanted the 6x9s as rear fill as the magna comes with stock 6x9s it seemed logical to put 6x9s in the already cut holes! Is there some not so expensive way of converting them to 6inch whole's!!!
Or should I just go the front splits and worry about rear fill later?

depends how much your willing to blow on a single pair of speakers i guess.
if your after old-school loudness 6x9's cant be beat for price and performance.
i guess if your an SQ nut, high quailty splits are the way to go.
asking on any forum a question on weather you should have front fill, rear fill, or both, will only lead to a nice long discussion
EDIT*
you like heavy metal, in that case i'd go the 6x9's....wayyyyy louder for those nice guitar rifs :)

sorrymate im in VIC, but for speakers you can install them yourself and save a bit of $$$$, not that hard.
for installing amps....well.....ill tell you how hard that is when i do mine.....
remeber you CAN do a few things yourself even if you arn't technically minded, you will learn

I would go a Set of front splits and 2-way 6x9's on the rear shelf..
