If you're talking about the rear bank then you got no hope!

Its not exactly rocket science. I'd help - but if he's in SA.......... its not gonna happen.

The rear bank is easy in all magnas, a little fiddly, but by no means hard. I've changed them on a TR, TF and TJ. No hassles.

If you've got the tools and the time, I highly recommend doing it yourself.

hahahah...hahaha This is one of the reasons i love the Astron engine. Takes something like 5 minutes max to change all 4 of them :D

where abouts are you and do you have a gregory's manual. If not does anyone no the torque on the bolts holding on the manifold (i think this is what is covering the spark plugs as i havent seen the engine bay of a tf). If possible buy the spark plugs yourself. I recomend platinum spark plugs, they are expensive, but they are worth it. Also i think you should check/change your leads.

The torque setting are 17Nm.

And if you wanna be 1337 - the torque rating for the spark plugs is 25nm.

Yeah we got that bit........ but what city??? There's dozens of cities in this country big enough that they would have a northern suburb area........ and this is the Australian magna club.........

I'm thinking of tackling the rear bank myself using the haynes guide. Does anyone know of any additional traps/pitfalls of doing this? Anything I need to really pay attention to? My previous engine work experience was on old holden engines, so a lot of the stuff under the hood of a TF magna is new/different to me.

Think I might still do it on a day where I don't have to work that night, just in case :bowrofl:
