After taking my car to get some work done on the auto at "Quinton Automatics" in Keilor, my car now blows the taillight/parker/dash light fuse when the ignition turns over. I am assuming that they have shorted a wire somewhere when playing with my auto but has anyone else had this?

Mine used to do that all the time. It was water under the fuse box :doubt:

Get a torch and have a good look around the trannie, top and bottom, they might have squished a wire and shorted it. :D

There is too much crap in the way to see the tranny properly from above so i'm gonna jack it up. Also its now no longer only the ignition that blows it up. Anything electrical will make the fuse pop but not all the time. At one point turning the radio up blew the fuse and at another the aircon killed it. Dad (He's a sparky) had a looksee through the electrics and thought he found it because there was a trailer plug wired into the tail lights and it had been cut off at some point. The cut, uninsulated wire was resting against the inside of the rear quarter and we thought we fixed it but pop went the weasel.

SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!1one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The problem has been conquered! It had nothing to do with the mechanics, just a coincidence. The problem was what i shall name FRANKENLOOM! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v345/The_Monk/Magna/DSCF0284.jpg) (original eh wot?)
Also this combined with the radio losing its earth somehow meant that fuses go pop pop!

It was just a mess of joins and live ends wrapped around each other, in tape, and touching the body. We are going to do a thourough(sp?) search of the electrics to see if anything else like this is around it.
