okay under the bonnet, there are two fans on the radiator. On my car the left one (DS) spins quite freely, but the larger right hand side one (PS) takes a bit more of a shove to rotate by hand and it doesn't spin so freely. Is that normal or do I have a stuffed bearing in the larger fan?

They both function under their own power, just wondering about this stiff feeling in the Right hand fan.

mine do spin freely on both so just check it or maybe it needs replacement.

Do both fans do the same thing?

The one on the left is the airconditioner fan the one on teh right is the radiator fan if that helps!

the aircon fan only comes on when your airconditioning is on. the larger radiator fan is on a thermal switch to only come on when things are heating up.

Mid this week my situation was as posted, Yesterday I checked again and the big one's spinning freely again - so maybe it was just clogged with moths or something. Anyway thanks - I will keep an eye on the thing!
