Hi everyone how are you all???
A couple days now I have noticed that my a/c is not working properly, so what I did was I put a sensitive thermometer in the vent and I saw the results witch 8.9c, I want to find out what is the way to test this because I am getting sick and tired of people’s stupid ideas…
I know if the dash board is hot I won’t get the same results…
Many thanks TRELLAMENOS…

My dad put a new aircon in his ute and tested it the same way. His was blowing about 2 degrees, so yeah maybe could be a bit cooler.

8.9 deg is normal if the fan is up full and on rec not fresh
fan on speed 1 and on rec it should get around 4 deg
realy depends on the rpm and temp of the day

well im no expert but wen we went to an a/c repairer because the a/c all of a sudden lost its cooling while we are driving [on our mazda bubble]. wat he did was open the bonnet and start feeling the pipes see if they are pumping gas while a/c running. hope this help

AFAIK its illegal to regas an airconditioning system if its leaking.

Simple way to test - is it working as well as it used to? if not, get it done
I always thought, in terms of regassing, the a/c was a "works or not at all" kind of thing. From my understanding the gas doesnt degrade and lose its cooling ability, if your gas is leaking then the pressure will drop and the compressor will instantly turn itself off.
I reckon turn the a/c on, the fan to about 2 or 3 and and turn it to recirculation, then take it for a drive while testing the temp. The a/c works so much better when a) the revs are up and b) when your travelling forward so your a/c condensor is getting cooled down.

Nah my air con still works but it's definately not as cold as it used to be. Mine needs regassing, i guess 1 sympton like above said if its not cold, its not working.
