ive got pov pack 3rd gen

so it has no door courtesy lights ( light comes on when open door )

just wondering if the wiring for the lights is there but just no light.

ive got a red neon for each footwell and want it to be activated by the door opening.

so if the wiring is already there i can just hook it up to the wiring but if not i will have to run the wiring from a power wire into my own momentry push off switch whcih the door would undepress upon oppening.

CHeers in advance.

There's really no light in the middle of the roof? That's weird. Has the roof been relined or something?

I posted the wiring diagram for the interior lights in this thread. (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30724&highlight=verada+pillar) Hope that helps.

i was refering to the door mounted courtesy lights on the bottom of the doors when open however i would use this wiring for the neons closest to that door respectivly

EDIT heres a diagram

Oh, right

I can look for the schematic for those lights if you want? Otherwise, just take your door off and see if there's a two wire harness dangling loose in there.

yeah if u could look at the schematic that would be sweet. i was trying to avoid taking the door trim off only to find the wirings not there. knowing my luck.

the actually wiring of it isnt an issue. im good with electronics. just hoping there is already an automated power wire.

Here it is.. hopefully it should help you track down the right wires at least. It looks like each door has its own 'door ajar' switch that's used to activate the warning light on the dash and to trigger the central lamp which you could hook in to.

My Series 2 TJ exec has the courtesy lights in the front doors, but nothing in the backs...... I could be wrong - but AFAIK no magnas had courtesy lights in the rear doors (maybe TL+? I've never taken that much notice).

Anyway - I like your idea, sounds pretty damn cool if you can pull it off. Good luck.

ahk well it apears the fronts have wiring so i will just pull apart the wiring and have a look and a test with a multimeter.

as for the rears i think i will make a trip down 2 jaycar for some momentry push switchs and make a custome jobby.

it would be easier to wire up a relay to each of your door switches and run your neons that way. saves you needing to remove the door trims too.

I agree with what [WTCHME] said. Also, The Veradas up to KL had the courtesy lights on all
doors. Guess what, they removed the rear ones for all but the Xi for the KW series.
