Apparently there was a verada wagon that came in manual, maybe have a look at the specs on that if you can find them? Might give you some insight :).

Same length AFAIK, but different amount of splines. So you will need manual driveshafts.

is that the same as the 4 cyl magna 5spd and auto. im not to knowlegable bout mechanics. is the splines having to do with the "diff" ratio or final ratio.because in the near future im looking at the opposite maybe manual to auto so would i need new ones as well. if the splines are different ratios but still fit would that just make your spedo out?would they even fit together?

I honestly have no idea what the difference in the amount of splines is for. All I know is that one has more and one has less because when I first replaced my cv's last year I asked for TR Magna V6 cv's and they sold me auto ones, told me they were all the same. I soon found out they were wrong as it wouldn't fit, swapped them around and have never been back to that store :P

Actually there are a different number of splines for both the auto and manual boxes. Both come in 25 tooth and 27 tooth versions. It's freaking weird.

so what your saying cartman02au is that the auto can have 25 or 27 teeth and the manual can have 25 or 27 teeth. there not limited to autos having just one say 27 and manuals have only 25. soz havent had coffee yet feel like neandethal

This is from memory.....

The 4cyl manual had the 25 spline

The 4cyl auto and v6 all had the 27.....i think

You will need to remove the TCU, bridge the inhibitor switch neutral signal. IF you want cruise also connect the cruise switch to the brake pedal to a switch on the clutch pedal to stop over rev between gears.

You will also have to convice the cruse module that you are in drive or it will not enguage.
