I've got water leaking from were the water pump connects to the engine block( right between the pump housing and engine block wall). What could be the remedy for this? Its a TR 93 2.6L 4 cyl. Astron.

Thanks

Take the water pump out and have a good look at it. If where it goes into the block is corroded (in the pump) you will need to replace it.

Also take note of the little hole underneath it, if it is leaking there the bearings are shot and you might as well replace it anyways.

Yup, I changed the o-ring but I used lithium grease and not silicone. It was not hard to pull out and push back in with the new o-ring. There was no corrosion on the pump tubes but I still cleaned them with a steal brush.
After putting back everything and adjusting the belt tension, I let the engine run for 15 minutes and no more leak so far. I hope the grease is ok with the o-ring.

The next project is the tappet noise under the valve cover. Maybe I'll let a mechanic do this, it sounds complicated.

Thanks guys! :bowrofl:
