If it turns up on every second honda civic or hyundai = rice. Nuff said.

I looked at doing this with OEM BMW angel eyes from an E46, but saw too many cars doing it...

Cheers

Looks promising - but juding by the pic, the 'angel eye' bit is a smaller diameter than the lens....... am i right?

Make sure you post up pics of them installed on the car when you're done!! and then make a "how to", so the rest of us can take advantage of all your hard work and experimentation :D .

replace the park lights with the angel eyes, so u can disconnect it easy, and it would run anytime u have the park lights on... looks sweet.

i jus wanted to know, any state, are these legal?

[TUFFTR]
25-01-2006, 05:26 PM
basically its a curtain rod (clear PVC rod) which is melted into a ring shape, using a dremel or saw or knife to cut little slits in the rod, then, you place a few LED's at the top of the pipe (where the opening is) is, wire them up, and the light shoots down the rod, reflecting off the little slits in the rod....

pretty straight forward ey?

Take a photo at dusk when it's darker but not in the dark. It will look better and more like what another driver would see if it's taken about eye height for a sitting driver.

sweet as. so all we will basically pay for is the angel eyes kit??? or u guys are so nice that u will jus do a straight swap wit no cash adjustment :D

choonga
26-01-2006, 06:54 PM
lol.. straight swap.. so we're going to sit in front of an oven for hours and make thee little things for you for free? oh yeh! hahaha. u wish!

yeah.. we'll either make the kits so all you have to do is open the headlight yourselves.. or invest in a set of paras and put them in then swap + cash for your para's.

What do you guys think? Please put what you would prefer.

h45e
26-01-2006, 09:36 PM
I would buy 3rd gen para's with angel eyes off u as a whole kit ready to install (for some extra $$$ to go into your pockets ofcourse) but can u make the angel eyes cover the whole circle so they look more like bmw's and in different colours?

Hi Choonga, wanted to confirm this as I gotten some globes here in Singapore for my parabolics, would be difficult for me to make a change if I got them wrong when I bring them back.

Can guys with the 3rd gen parabolics with 2 piece confirm this as I only see bits and pieces on all the other threads.

Highbeams=H1
Lowbeams=H7? or is this H4?

please confirm this one(someone said something about old ones using H4 when I did a serach but if this is so why would we need to rewire them.) Please csomeone help to confirm that is a H7 bulb for the low beam? Lots of thanks in advance.

hold on a few weeks.. we're figuring out the costs and stuff.. also we're thinin about making some more to get themt he best we can... what about full round ones? wot do u think?

ye choonga full round would look better.

Nexus

Ok nevermind, my mistake, I missed the thread oh Heath's FAQ.

Its confirmed H7 for lowbeams and H1 for Highbeams.

I do not know which person said H4 were used on older Paras, which made me confused the whole damn day!

Oh and guys keep up the good work with the angel eyes! They look excellent.

Cheers!

you cant do full round/circle, as you need to be able to put the LED's in..... :nuts:

You could almost do it actually. U gota have the rods going all the way around then bend inward. You drill a hole in the parabolic casing for the rods to go in then you mount the leds and wiring inside the casing. Anyhow the parabolics arent even a full circle. Their an oval with the top cut off slightly so they wouldnt end up being a full circle unless you block off some of the lens.

Oh and guys, to make the black areas, use some good quality black paint instead of duct tape. Duct tape will start to unstick after a while from the heat of the headlights.
