i saw on 1 web site that said it is 68mm bore size

does it bolt on to series 3 inlet manifold, and is it 68mm - might be a simple upgrade?????

Nice idea but the 380 uses throttle by wire instead of our cable system. It would be very hard to adapt. Much easier to get a bigger tb from another car and adapt the TPS etc.

I'm pretty sure there's a couple of people on here who claim to have perfected machining 3rd gen T/B's out to 68mm and larger. Try give JasonsVRX or EZ boy a shout - I don't think they would be willing to make one up for you (if they make one for you...... they'll end up with hundreds of orders), but I'm sure they'd be able to give you some advice.

I've had a couple of performance workshops here in Brisbane offer to oversize myT/B (for a price of course). From what I understand it can be ****ed up if not done correctly - so I haven't taken up any offers just yet.

Before my pm box is flooded, I haven't perfected it just yet. Mostly due to lack of time - focusing on the inlet manifolds, family and my carwash atm. I believe much better gains can be made from my custom inlet manifolds than ANY throttle body upgrade alone. In combination - an OS TB, inlet manifold, exhaust sys, cai and piggyback ecu you should be throwing tarmac 100m behind your car when you take off. Well maybe :redface:

Dad owns the Muff shop, I run own/run carwash. That's why everything I try to make takes so bloody long - cause I never get enuf uninterupted time at the muff shop, only barely one day per wk atm :(
