I've been looking through heaps of old threads on this issue but haven't been able to find the answer that I'm after.

Whats the deal with putting 17" rims on a TJII AWD sports, I have been told the world will fall in, or well it will void warrenty and do damage to the hubs or something.

But I've noticed on here that plenty of AMC members have 17"s or bigger on their TJ AWD's, has anyone noticed any damage caused by the bigger rims? since they have had them, and Is there anything I should look out for or change before getting them put on?

I know that MMAL changed the hubs or something to fit the 17" on the TL AWD?

Any help would be muchly appreciated. :cool:

TL AWD didnt have 17's, only ever 16's. Ive had 17's on since i got the car where the dealer put them on for me. I think the only problem may be with very wide rims with incorect offset.

So 17 x 7 should be fine?

What size tyres would you recommend?

For a 17x7 I would put 225/50's on it.

I saw a TJII AWD with 17's today, so it can't be that much of an issue.
