Just a heads up. I walked into JB to look at the JVC's not even thinking to buy and walked out with one of these.
RRP is $699. They had them at $549 and now down to $364. Ask nicely and you might get a free RCA cable. :D

Well I just tried installing it. The salesdude said the harness would just plug straight in since the old and new HUs are both Sony.

Unfortunately, the new one has an extra positive wire and an "ATT" wire.
Tried just plugging the existing harness in and no go.
That is as far as my car audio knowledge (noob level) goes.

Can anyone help me install it tomorrow morning (before 10) or evening (5+ pm)?
Yeah I know what day it is tomorrow, but a cash reward will be offered.
Otherwise, Friday morning and evening would be good too.
If not I'll just bring it back to JB and get them to do it.

Nah not touching it.
Wasted enough time. I'm working tomorrow too so I don't have that much free time.
I'll just live with the old HU until somebody (JB hifi or otherwise) helps me.

My mate has one of those, not bad.

Things I dont like:
*the remote wire thing that only activates when the radio is on or you can have it do both Radio, CD or Aux to turn the amps on
*no number for the volume.. how do you know exactly how far your system can go
*MP3 delay
*that I couldn't find the EQ in a hurry lol

Thing I like:
*Has RCA input in the back
*4v Preouts
*Sounds Stage Inhancer ( made his coaxials sound very very nice )
*Sub control

Bet he still made his commission plus profit.. it pays for them to buy in bulk :)

Yeah they always do, but it's still a nice deal. Haven't seen these headunits in action, haven't heard anything good or bad about them other Mr Charisma's quick pro/con list. Though the volume thing sounds like a bit stupid. I'd hate that, I guess you just gotta crank it all the way up until it distorts but that isn't exactly the best way to do it every time.

I know my songs and how loud they should be played. Most rnb/rap music gets around to volume 21/40 before starts distorting. Most 80s rock/pop and what not gets to around 30-35.
