I drive a 1997 TF 3.0L v6 Station Wagon, and I was wondering what would be a good body kit for the car, and what the average price would be for a decent body kit, at the moment, its a stock (and has been for 9 years since we first bought the car) magna, which could do with a nice polish and a new set of wheels. Also what good engine mods would u suggest for the car and i have about $4000 at the moment to spend on the car, and am wondering what would be a good body kit (mag wheels have already been chosen) and some good performance engine mods for the car.

Greetings All.

First off mate, welcome to the club.

Secondly, for these types of topics, it is better off using the search function and search for previous threads/posts for a bit of information.

Now down to the nitty gritty.

Bodykit

For a body kit you have plenty of options.

Mitsubishi sports wagon kit - This is a cheap kit that you can buy from mitsubishi directly. The only problem, is that you will need to buy a new front bumper for you car. Look into this for value. (You will need a TH front bar for this kit, check ozparts.com)
Zelious kit - This kit is alot more expensive then the mitsubishi kit, but is alot more "Out there" compared to the sports kit.
Watchme front bar - NICE looking bar that was designed by one of our own. (Previously know as the Aussie Magna bar)
Other then that you could mix and match body kit parts to get the desired look.

Performance

Change rear muffler to a high flow item. You can buy a cheap cat back, mandrel bent redback system for around $350-400 these days and will give your car a nice growl with a bit of performance to boot.
Extractors. The standard magna extractors are HORRIBLE!! So a nice set of custom extractors will give you a bit more torque. If your the impatent type, just go out and buy a set of pacemaker extractors. (Although there have been some guys/gals on here that have had a 3L with pacemakers and damaged the piping due to the fact they are designed for the 3.5L and they hand AWFULLY low)
Change panel filter. Simple, easy...got and buy a K&N panel filter from you local autobarn/super cheap auto, etc.
High flow TB. Cheap, easy to do, helps throttle response.
Head work. If you REALLY want to get serious, then consider some head work. A bit of a port and polish, shave the head...you will see some good gains with a tuned piggy back as well!!
FPR. Fuel pressure regulator...they help a bit down low in that ugly spot in the RPM range where nothing seems to happen.
DONT FORGET TO UPGRADE BRAKES AND SUSPENSION!!!

Hope that helped...
